NSPIRED / LABSHuman curiosity. Useful possibilities.

An idea is a place to begin.

A more human future.
Built one useful idea at a time.

Experiments in using AI to help people learn, create and make more room for what matters.

Built for individuals, families and small teams bringing their own ideas and causes to life.

SHADOW LABS GAME STUDIOBuilding together

Make the game you wish existed.

A game studio Brad is building with his son—making games with AI and learning how to build a business along the way.

It’s already a cycle of building, sharing with friends, gathering feedback and making changes. Each round is a chance to practice creative judgment, persistence and listening to other people.

Taking shape: a course for parents and kids

We’re shaping a course and starter toolkit that parents and children can use together: make a first game, question and test what AI produces, and learn how to share work thoughtfully.

Parents stay involved—asking questions, talking through choices and building trust. Creativity and sound judgment matter as much as a playable result.

In development

Rosefield

A more deliberate way to make investment decisions.

An experiment in using AI to organize research, question assumptions and bring more discipline to financial decisions.

Explore the Rosefield prototype (opens in a new tab)

An early look at the concept. The product is still in development.

The question we’re exploring

Can better information and deliberate decision habits help people approach investing with more care? Rosefield begins with research and reflection. The prototype shares the direction; the tools and their availability are still being developed.

Internal experiments

AI for independent work

A small team should be able to do more.

Exploring how AI can help founders and small organizations turn scattered information into useful work—with people setting the direction.

Inside the Ka-Tet experiments

Methods tested in Nspired’s own work, evolving toward practical support that smaller organizations can use. We’re learning what makes a workflow useful, repeatable and manageable before packaging it for others.

Exploring

Longevity

Living well, for the long run.

Exploring tools that help us organize everyday habits, observations and questions about living well over time.

Where this could begin

A transparent research journal and a simple, user-controlled tracking prototype. The participant program is still to be defined.

Program in development

Community Giving

The causes that matter to our people matter to us.

We’re shaping a company-funded program that lets clients and contractors nominate causes they care about.

The program taking shape

The aim is to turn the relationships behind our work into support for the communities around us. Eligibility and launch details are still being developed.

Curiosity, with a compass.

People keep agency.

You choose the direction. The tools help you act on it.

Curiosity comes with care.

Question claims, keep the sources and learn from what happens.

Useful progress counts.

More time, more capability and more room to contribute.

Why I’m building this.

Brad MacLean, founder of Nspired

Brad MacLeanFounder, Nspired

I started Nspired Labs because I want more people to feel that they can shape what comes next.

AI has changed what I can bring to life. That possibility matters most to me when it reaches a person with an idea, a small business serving its community, or someone trying to get a cause off the ground.

Read the founder’s note

I see it at home, too, building games with my son. We’re learning to ask better questions, test ideas and make something we can share. The relationship we build through that work matters as much as the games themselves.

But making more things is only part of it. We still have to decide what is worth making, how we treat people, and what kind of lives we want to lead.

The work here begins with curiosity and responsibility. Keep learning. Ask better questions. Know what matters to you. Use your abilities to make something useful—and leave room for other people to do the same.

That is why these experiments range from learning and independent work to living well and giving back. Each explores a different part of the same question: can technology help us become more capable while keeping us connected to what makes us human?

I don’t think a better future is guaranteed. I think it is something we help create through ordinary choices and useful work. This is my part of that work, shared as it takes shape.

Driven by compassion. Guided by reason.

What would make your life or work easier?

A useful experiment starts with a real need. Share a question, an idea or something you’d like to help shape.
