One portfolio.
Too many partial views.
Jira held the work, but leadership needed a dependable way to see what mattered across reporting areas: which commitments were on track, where teams depended on one another and where the record needed attention. A useful answer had to connect a portfolio summary to the work beneath it.
Nspired shaped the product with IT stakeholders, led the delivery and built the application. The design principle was simple: keep Jira as the source, make the logic visible, and let a reader move from a signal to the exact work behind it.

The portal grew from a governance pilot into a broader IT portfolio product. Each view answers a different management question, while staying connected to the same Jira records.

The product is designed for leadership use without separating its conclusions from their source or asking teams to maintain a second reporting system.
Read the work where it lives.
The private portal reads Jira through a server-side integration. Its scope follows governed Jira filters, so the reporting view can change with the underlying work.
Make every number a door.
Portfolio counts, delivery flags and governance findings lead to the items behind them. Labels and page guidance explain how a result was calculated.
Derive, label and defer to people.
AI helps summarize lengthy descriptions and form useful statements from child work. Derived text is marked with its source and date; authored content takes precedence, and thin evidence is left unresolved.
Keep operational work protected.
Individual access and server-side credentials keep the live Jira record inside the client’s working environment. This case study shows the product pattern without exposing that record.
Led as a product.
Built with feedback.
Brad combined delivery leadership, solution architecture and hands-on development. The team started with a working governance pilot, reviewed it with stakeholders, then expanded coverage to the full IT portfolio and refined the questions each view answers.
The August 2026 release added executive priorities, clearer committed-versus-delivered reporting and AI-derived context. It also brought explanatory guidance into the interface and a place for users to submit and discuss feature requests. The product continues to evolve with the people using it.
WHAT CHANGED
Leaders gained one live place to examine priorities, delivery and data quality across the portfolio, with a path back to the Jira work behind each conclusion. This is a delivered capability, not a claim of measured time savings or business impact.
